Myschoolcomm recently developed the idea of asking our students questions as mild way of exposing you to the reason(s) why you fail exams. We understand our position as the #1 student community website and working towards making sure that our students excel in every exam they sit for.
Today again, we gave a debate titled "Examination is NOT a true test of knowledge" with the option to either propose or oppose.
However we were surprised that a total of about 5,400 student who viewed the debate, only about 80 responded with just about three students making meaningful attempt.
Our parents, teachers and seniors have to sit up, or else the education standard in our dear nation will go down the lane with most other sectors.
Most of the answers received came with no formal pattern of debate writing. A few that would have made good points could not spell well, others got busy copying replies that are totally off point from google.com. What a decadence!
We wish our parents can read this, we wish our teachers can read it too. Dear students, sit up! Learn to give good answers (in well-written English) to questions when you are required to. It will be such a shame that we allowed the use of various social networking chat application eat deep into our system that we cannot write good, readable English.
Out of the rest, we have been able to select three (3) students for our token award (prize). Those students chosen are not painstakingly excellent in their answers, but they made better and pardonable attempt.
