Unimaid Offers Scholarship to Oldest Students of IIJ



There is two oldest students of the International Institute of Journalism, the federal capital (Abuja) have been presented a scolarship of the University of Maiduguri.

In a statement from the institute, the awardees include Alhaji Halilu A. Kado and Mrs. Otu L. Mbua. They were given 100,000 naira each for defying age to achieving their academic dreams.

In his statement, the Deputy Director of the institute, Mr. Nick Igwenagu, who represented the Director, Dr. Emman Sheu, implored the recipients not to relent in their quest to achieve higher ground in education saying that champions are made not born.

Registrar of the Institute, Mr. Afolabi Olusola, commended the Vice Chancellor of University of Maiduguri, Prof. Moh Daura, for finding it in his heart to initiate such an award.b
