AP chairmanship aspirant gives free NECO forms to students

A chairmanship aspirant under  Accord Party in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr Mukaila Adegboye, has distributed free National Examination Council (NECO) forms to about 25 indigent but brilliant students from the council area.
Adegboye disclosed this during the launch of an organisation that is sympathetic to his aspiration, Bibire Group, at the weekend in Wakajaye Area, Ibadan.
He said the action was motivated by the need to give equal educational opportunities to all categories of students, especially those who are brilliant but whose parents could not foot their schooling bills.
According to him, a committee has been saddled with the responsibility to select the best students in all the 11 wards of the local government through a test.
The chairmanship aspirant said this was what those who rode to the corridors of power through the mandate and votes of the people should be doing to justify their election.
He promised to prioritise the welfare of the people of the council area and also embark on reconstruction of dilapidated infrastructure if voted for in the coming local government election.
The water engineer added that he would also construct a vocational training centre to serve as a platform for the training of youths in requisite skills to make them productive economic change agents and also re-orientate them from social vices.
While soliciting the support of the people of Egbeda Local Government Area for his ambition, he pledged to restore all they had lost in terms of value from elected officials.
The people of the council, who attended the launch in their numbers, assured him of their support for his aspiration,  expressing confidence in his ability to deliver the goods.
