WHO WINS AND WHO LOSE? FUTO SUG Election Results Is Out!!!

FUTO SUG Election Results

It had remained a fierce fight for the the-would be CEOs of the Student Union Government of the ever glorious Federal University of Technology Owerri. According to Myschoolcomm live coverage, this year's election is a clear manifestation of another case of discrimination as has always been the case for about ten decades ago.

History has it that though FUTO is said to be a federal institution, non-Imo indigene has not, in the recent ten years emerged the president of the union. Even when majority of the students find interest and competency in a non-Imolite, the management and a host of other internal powers often have had their way of eliminating the people's choice by disefranchising the contestant Þhe right to run the election.

As earlier stated, Þhis year took familier form as
The people's choice for the post of President, Comrade Ubanatu Samuel was baselessly screened out of the race; clearing the airways for an indigene, Elendu Otis, who later won the position.

The question here remained rhytorical, year in, year out, people contest and win the seats of representatives for various departments and faculties and supposedly these are set of tools who should in essence coagulate to let the voice of the majority heard. The situation of politics in Nigeria is an aggregate of the internal politics in our various institutions, which is quite disheartheartning!

Here is the list of those who emerged...

President-Elendu Otis

Vice President-Nwauzor Christy

Financial Secretary-Ogbonna Erasmus
Secretary General-Israel Divine King
Ass.Sec Gen-Okoro November

Treasurer-Chukwuobasi Precious

PRO-Ike Uche Benzene

Director of Sports-Anyawuocha Martin

Director of Socials-Chukwudi Anyawu Paschal
Director of Transports-Alloziem Chima

Meanwhile the former government is still on seat while handover approaches.

Good luck to the g®eat Futoites!
