It had remained a fierce fight for the the-would be CEOs of the Student Union Government of the ever glorious Federal University of Technology Owerri. According to Myschoolcomm live coverage, this year's election is a clear manifestation of another case of discrimination as has always been the case for about ten decades ago.

History has it that though FUTO is said to be a federal institution, non-Imo indigene has not, in the recent ten years emerged the president of the union.
